The topic of diversity and equality is becoming increasingly important in the scientific environment. This workshop aims to jointly develop the knowledge and tools needed to positively contribute to equality in today’s diverse and dynamic work environments.
The workshop deals with the basic concept of anti-discrimination, gender and diversity. A thorough analysis sheds light on the functions of prejudice and stereotypes in the field of gender and diversity. This raises awareness of biases, perception and how to deal with prejudice and identifies the formation of “us” and “them” groups. An intersectional perspective is introduced to explore the social dimensions of diversity and to understand the importance of intersectionality in the research context. Diversity and gender in the work environment, with particular emphasis on organic perspectives and work structures will be discussed
