Our annual CRC 1333 Status Seminar took place in Bad Wimpfen from June 24-26, 2024. All members of the CRC meet once a year during this three-day event, which serves as a summit to discuss and exchange current research results, strategies and expectations for the continued development of the CRC 1333.
During the three days, each research team from the areas A – Materials, B – Catalysis, C – Analysis, Theory and Simulation as well as FAIR data management (INF) had the opportunity to present and discuss their latest research results.
This year’s keynote speaker, Prof. Alois Fürstner from the Max Planck Institute für Kohlenforschung, gave a talk on “A New Reactivity Paradigm: Trans-Hydrogenation, Gem-Hydrogenation, and Trans-Hydrometalation of Alkynes”. It was definitely a highlight, led to many great conversations and we would like to thank him for his time and sharing his expertise.
During the poster sessions offered on the first two days, our doctoral students showcased their research progress and received valuable feedback from their peers and professors. The CRC 1333 INF team prepared daily exhibitions during the coffee breaks, covering the topics of FAIR processing of chromatographic, IR and kinetic data from NMR.
And of course there was also time to socialize, explore the town of Bad Wimpfen and enjoy the beautiful summer weather together.
Our CRC 1333 Status Meeting was a very productive get-together, and we thank everyone for their great contributions!
